Emergency Food Assistance

United Against Poverty Orlando offers a comprehensive Emergency Food Assistance Program aimed at supporting individuals and families in urgent need. Initially, the program assesses eligibility for government assistance such as SNAP or Food Stamps. As a DCF self-service site, trained staff and volunteers guide applicants through the process. Participants receive a membership card for the Member Share Grocery Program, allowing them to use their benefits effectively. An emergency food bag is provided to ensure immediate food needs are met, with ongoing support available through pantry access or grocery vouchers. The program also includes opportunities for earning additional support like transportation and tuition assistance based on participation levels.
