Children & Death

At Pasadena Cemetery Association, we understand that talking to children about death can be difficult, but it’s also an important part of helping them heal. While many believe children can’t fully grasp the concept, they often understand more than we think. Kids are naturally curious and may have lots of questions, which will vary depending on their age and experiences. It’s helpful to remind them that their relationship with a loved one doesn’t end; it simply changes. Keeping photos and special mementos nearby can encourage conversations and help children maintain an emotional connection to the person who has passed.
