Brain & Body Integration

When we experience a learning or behavior challenge, somewhere in our brain there is disconnection. In some cases, stress has blocked communication and in other cases, the neural pathways were not well established in the first place. This lack of connection, or integration, is due to some kind of stress. There are many kinds of stressors that affect the brain, such as lack of proper nutrition, lack of specific amounts and types of movements, emotional stressors, and exposure to chemical toxins.

In order to re-connect, or integrate, the brain, we need to identify the areas which are causing stress and then eliminate them. This might be done by adjusting diet, removing triggers and toxins from the environment, and doing movements that specifically target the linking up of different parts of the brain and integrate primitive reflexes. Many stressors, especially emotional ones, can be identified through the use of specific forms of kinesiology, such as A.R.T., and LEAP, and then removed through a variety of techniques and modalities.

Most practitioners focus on either the physical level, the sensory-motor level, or the energetic level. The philosophy of Whole Child Learning and Wellness is that children support on all levels to make the fastest, most efficient, and longest-lasting progress.

Whether or not you are local or far away, you can experience brain integration balancing for your child or yourself (parents matter too!). Proximity will determine which intervention strategies we can use and how we use them.
