Stories of Solidarity: A Community Art Project (SSCAP)
Participants aged 16-24 in Los Angeles County are invited to join weekly discussion spaces focusing on topics like labor, civil rights, social justice movements, and related art forms. They will create their own art pieces, responding to the theme of "stopping the hate." The selected artworks will be featured at the AAPI Solidarity Conference: A Youth Empowerment Event, co-hosted by SIPA, SPACE at UCLA, and NAPAFASA. Participants will receive a $100 gift card from BLICK Art Materials and a $250 stipend for their contributions. Optional art teacher support is available through the Arts for Healing and Justice Network.
